Every relationship where you have to pretend to be muy estupido is bound to fail.

There's a difference between pretending to be stupid and just refraining from launching into a diatribe with an audience you doubt will be receptive. The former is a cause for concern, but the latter is just being thoughtful.

Kat doesn't seem to be pretending to be dumb here, she just seems to be trying not to be boring in front of her girlfriend.

Though she is being a bit dumb in not realizing Paz was asking her to put her arm around her.

Not the same anon but "It needs to be cold for the computers to work" is an equally short and direct answer. But it wouldn't add to the awkward funny moment.

>"It needs to be cold for the computers to work"

But that's a lie. you don't actually need cold for your computers to work.
>> No. 217998
>>217994
That depends of your definition of "cold". At work we keep the server room at 15 °C.
>> No. 218010
>>217998
You can still run a computer in a 30°C room as long as you are sure the heat is dissipated well enough. 15°C doesn't seem cold enough to protect anything in case of cooling system failure.

Kat, please don't mutate the nice brown girl. You might not be able to find another one.

though all indicators I think she's going to go all Re-Animator with that bit of animal organs and freak Paz the fuck out.

parting out an animal so you can make H.R. Geiger type machinations of flesh and machine might be crossing the line. Even if its just artificial construct muscle tissue and/or heart its pretty creepy.

Especially since what this suggests is true replacement limbs especially, grow a wing for for a bird that's lost a limb, an arm for a man whose lost it, Paz's jaw ought to hit the floor.

This is entry-level physiology stuff you get shown in high school, and for anyone interested in it, like Paz, it's cool, not creepy. And the thing with doing research on animals is that one way or another, you're eventually going to have to kill some of them and take them apart. The killing part is not easy and should not be easy, but dissection and looking at different parts doesn't actually take that much getting used to. A corpse, or a piece of the corpse, is not an animal anymore. Besides, you likely ate meat for most of your life so it's not like you aren't used to seeing and manipulating disembodied chunks of muscle.

What's slightly creepier than controlling muscle contractions with electricity is to just use table salt (or soy sauce in this video), so the muscles start contracting on their own.

I'm thinking more the end purpose in these experiments rather than the demonstration themselves being the reasoning for future possible unease. Its only a hop and skip form this to a resurrected cat trying to rip ones throat out. Though Paz being a willing assistant on this venture would be interesting.
