This. People who act like apologists to Penelope don't get that she's done more heinous things than even the Panda King who directly helped murder Sly's dad.

Seeing her go bad was a twist, but in hindsight one that made sense given her whole history. Now she can be a new nemesis for the Cooper Gang (since Clockwerk was finished permanently) of the current generation.

The only shame is that it seems Thieves in Time didn't sell well (and Sony never even bothered to advertise the game on TV). You would think that a series as underrated as Sly Cooper would get all the help it could get since its not like Ratchet and Clank which doesn't need as much aid in selling.

i like the idea of clockwerk eye turning her evil , makes slightly more sense.

Maybe if they had shown her more evil tendencies through her personality it wouldn't have felt like such a mood whiplash. She was way too nice in 3 when she wasn't disguised as the Baron.

I just hope they make it worth it.
