I have a friend who refuses to eat soup of any kind. That's right, he will not eat soup and hasn't eaten soup since he was a small child. When he was 8 his parents made him sit at the dinner table until he ate his soup, according to his mother he sat there until well after midnight.
He drinks hot tea, hot cocoa and will eat pasta (entirely too much goddamn pasta) but he will not eat soup. At all. EVER! It's completely fucking ridiculous.

Look at this shit. This soup is the best soup ever. All other soups are weaksauce.

I'm not a soup fan either; its a texture thing. I can deal with really thick stuff like chili or stuff that's mostly water, but stuff in-between is just not that pleasant for me.

I will eat soup, but I refuse to treat it as a full meal. Having a really low fluid treshold, eating more than a tiny appetizer bowl will make my guts churn. Your friend might have the same problem. People don't seem to know that different bodies need different amounts of water to work right.

I'm Boston, trapped at work with not much to do. I would like nothing more than to have a nice bowl of posole when I get home. Except that I don't have any at my house and I dunno of the storm is gonna allow me to go get some.
