My rule of thumb for judging how good a restaurant will be if it's ethnically themed: See how much it looks and feels like how a restaurant would actually be like in that country.
Third World restaurants would look like shit, but have amazing customer service, if hard to understand. French cuisine would be served very bluntly, in a cramped but very well decorated space, etc.
Thus, fast food restaurants are never a good place to get cuisine for the culture because it sacrifices any and all of these qualities for prefabricated, already half finished food to cook.
