Write a word/phrase/expression and then write as many synonyms/similar things as you can think of. Or request for that!

I'll start:

"I'm sorry" =

-I apologize
-I regret it
-I wish it wasn't so

Beauty.
Skill.
Perfection.
Talent, which isn't necessarily the same thing as skill.

Not so hard.

The problem with direct synonyms for "art" is that it takes on different meanings depending on context. So it's better to take elements of it and split it up into different words, at which points it becomes easy:

piece of art
1. artifact
2. creation
3. craft
4. good (as in "goods and services," not "better than bad.")
5. work (not the verb, but work as in "a work")
6. product

artistry:
1. craftsmanship
2. skill
3. deftness

artist:
1. craftsman
2. performer
3. author (not as in "writer," as that's a specific KIND of artist rather than a synonym, but "author" in terms of the originator of a work--i.e. "the author of this work.")
4. creator
5. alcoholic

"No."

- Nope
- Nah
- Naw

One word I've never found any word for is a deep platonic admiration for someone, someone whose voice is very pleasing to the ears and makes you smile every time you hear it, who's funny and charming and would be a good person to punch baddies with, but who you'd never want to have sex with or be romantically involved with because the desire just isn't there, and you're okay with it.

the greeks have a word called "philios" that people have transformed to mean "brotherly"
it's really not about blood relation. it's about the love one has in a deep friendship

That might work. It works perfectly for people I'm friends with, but not people I admire from afar but have never spoken to (i.e. celebrities who I look up to and admire-- there's not many of them, but I cherish the few I've grown to respect).

Is there a term for "fantasy/sci-fi/horror fan who is fascinated in reading about the supernatural, but flatly refuses to believe in monsters, fairies, psychic powers, etc. in real life," or is that a general thing?

Either or. It's weird, I wish that stuff existed, it'd be really cool if it did, but I haven't seen anything that remotely resembled a ghost or an alien or anything in real life.

Some people forget, this was the whole ethos of Carl Sagan, the most well-known skeptic in the world. He believed aliens exist out there, and he wanted to make contact with them. But he held firm to the conviction that extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence, and did far more to debunk baseless claims of encounters with the aliens and the supernatural than just about anyone else.

Skepticism is wanting something to be real, and not accepting anything less than verifiable truth.
