Agree sorta, but I don't know if we need an entire board for it. There's a thread on /baw/ right now that kind of serves that purpose, though it's mostly just filled with reactions to the weird video right now.

Can you be sure it will stay that way, though? That might change if too many requests start to appear on boards. Also, some people carry over the attitude from 4chan that requests shouldn't be posted outside of /r/, which can keep people from doing that on here, from helping those who do or lead to them acting negatively to those who request things on plus4chan.

I think the idea of a "blue board" version of /r/ is a good 1. Almost all you see on /r/ any more are porn and outrageous NSFW stuff. Today I saw a thread with a lot of what greatly appeared to be real life gore and post-horrible-death photos on the front page of /r/ along with the much too common pics of and requests for really fucked up hentai, all because the standards for what's tolerated on the beige boards with more general topics have become very loose at 4chan. Requests for non-porn things on there aren't answered very often. It seems like they hardly give a shit about anything that isn't porn on /r/. A more SFW /r/, possibly with a sticky on the front reminding people that it is, could be great.

Two reasons, demand and necessity. How many people want a request board? How many need one? This must taken into consideration before establishing what could or could not be wasted space. After all, that's how /tek/ & /op/ were established, democratically (by voting)

I didn't mean to imply that an /r/ board was a bad idea per se. It's worth noting though, 4chan's /r/ is pretty fast, despite the lack of moderation. Not the case over here. So theoretically, if we had a /r/ board, you'd have moderation and a worksafe environment.......at the cost of a steady post rate, which again begs the question of whether we need one out of necessity or not.

Of course, if there's enough demand, Anonex might give it a test run. The key word here is might, since it did take a while for him to establish /tek/ after all the voting was done. So take that however you want to.

Sometimes almost as fast as /b/, so there's demand. A board where people fulfill each others' requests that could probably not be the highly disgusting cesspool that /r/ has become over the last week? There's a good chance that people want it.
