this counts right?
.
I'm probably gonna get a lot of flak for this...
gonna go for some obvious ones for a start manly tears related

hurp
Beautiful.
superior in the sense that unlike the original, i dont automaticly associate it with Dan Dreiberg's naked thrusting ass.
I love System. I love Sabbath. System plays Sabbath? I jizz. In. My pants.
It's a cover of a cover with a cameo by the guy who covered the original.
Probably going to make some enemies with this one.
I love The Jesus and Mary Chain, but damn do the Pixies do this song justice.
HYDRA, your taste in music is awwrightttt. Another Cash cover that's better than the original in my opinion.
So I was listening to some Cash today and Give My Love to Rose made me baww. I imagined the dying man as Wildcat...
>>1873 thanks! thats something i dont hear too often... now as for this one, i'm expecting an uproar about it but...
...they are both covers. and i think both are superior to the original so it still counts
You guys better not give me shit for this.
Jackson Jackson Jackson.
Also, everything but Sk8ter Boi, from EBA.
Superior to all.
I know, I know, how dare I...
>>1891 Even La La, which I shamefully admit I like more than I should.
I refuse to acknowledge any of the posts in this thread except for Elite Beat Agents.
Psycho Killer as performed by Moxy Fruvous.
>>1895 That.... Okay, that wasn't too bad...
>>1778 FFFFFFFFFFFFFUCK! I WAS GOING TO POST THAT!
Any of the covers Blind Guardian did. Mr. Sandman, Surfin' USA, The Wizard, Barbara Ann, Spread Your Wings, all of them
>>1916 Word.
Sounds kinda Verve-ish.
DAT SOLO
I love Metallica and Blue Oyster Cult. Putting them together is delicious.
the original is nice, slow, smooth, and almost tender this version is almost disgusting and so awesome
and this is just awesome
and Agent of Hydra beat me to it good taste, sir.
I like covers sung by people that don't seem to have an original language so they're attempting very hard to determine how to make sounds.
This one comes down to taste imo Still, p awesome
>>1895 I'll catch even more flak, but I don't mind Fall Out Boy's sound Just their sound, mind. They're one of the first to really grasp the balance between hard rock and dance music. The result is something that really hooks you when you hear it, regardless of whether you like it or not. Instantly recognizable, infinitely marketable; there's some genius in that. But when they open their fucking mouths you instantly remember why you hate them.
obligatory
>>2014 on a similar note
i wish they'd hurry up and do an entire song, rather than just the live intro for Slam
>>2025 DERP
>>2026 what do you mean?
>>1764 This was the first thing I thought of.
>>2034 they haven't recorded a full cover of Puppets, just that 2 minute snippet of a mini-mix. theres also the intro for Slam when they perform live, vid related
suprisingly in duri
yeah.
bumpan with Judas Priests cover of Diamonds and Rust. The original is good too, but this one wins out simply because it rocks so damn hard. Halfords screams at the end will make your balls drop. DIAMONDS DIAMONDS AND RUUUUSSSSSTTTT
Not superior, but fine too~
the first time i ever heard this song was live. i was half deaf and honestly thought it was a cover. i was even singing the lyrics to The Four Horsemen
Another honorable mention.
They did Hotel California too. I like their covers but the videos are so corny at times~
I win.

Any time Agent Orange does a cover, it's better, because they can play as hard and fast as any other band, but they also like to crank the reverb and add just a little surf to the mix.
Considering I never heard the Middle English hymn, I'd say this is pretty good. The lyrics are very creepy/haunting to me.
>>3034 Sometimes I wonder if you go out of your way to be wrong, or if it's just the intrinsic state of the universe.
