So, we've had some pretty good episodes since I last updated this, particularly 506 and 507. This one, 510, is the first half of (Cherry Spitz and our) big Spring Break crossover. http://www.theharbingervondoom.com/archives/2010/4/1/the-harbinger-510-thundergoat-doublecast-part-1.html

Oh my god, this band is way past cool.
>>3217 I wish to argue that Father of death is the apex. It is just flawless.
Um, i think i like The megas better...
>>3251 Then you shall DIE!
Fuckin' magnets, how do they work?
>>3246 He trolled them so bad. God bless Andrew W.K
>>3234 never before has "fun" sounded like liquid diarrhea spewing from a speaker And speaking of people who have no idea what they're talking about, how do you even justify the comparison of ICP and 2 Live Crew? ICP is horrorcore, 2 Live Crew is gangsta rap, more similar to UGK. Their albums were so awesome and dirty that they were banned for highly explicit content, versus ICP who is so childish and retarded that they were banned in a few high schools at most. Of course Gravediggas broke the top 100, you twit. It had the RZA, one of the best producers of all time, and a driving force behind the Wu-Tang Clan. Tech N9ne is not popular because he's a juggalo, he's popular because he has an insane voice, a p good flow, and the kind of righteous anger that keeps the midwest from getting bored out of their damn minds. And of all the acts you listed, the only one to have a lasting impact is 2 Live Crew, who are recognized even 20 years later for "As Nasty as They Wanna Be". Re-read my post, fail less. Face Down Ass Up, Bitch.
>>3252 You are just getting sad now. And clearly U mad.
RIP Peter Steele ITT dead white guys (and musicians)
Anyone wanna suggest some good gothic metal bands?
>good >gothic >metal you may only pick two
?
>>32236 I'll choose gothic metal
So Boys N' Gals, it looks like this ol' Girl of a Board is soon to be dead and merged into /tv/, lets send her off the only way we know... WITH A SONG!
EVERYBODY!
I don't really think myself much of a metalhead, but I loved Metalocalypse, and the hiatus is making me anxious for some comedy-metal. Can anyone make any suggestions?
>>3215 no no. See, His collection is serious. Those bereft of soul whose only light is the eternal rage of Hell's Candle are the only ones who should apply.
>>3221 Seriously bad, maybe.
You can never go wrong with some Motorhead
Andy Milonakis doing Dancehall. Yeah...
This thread needs a reply, because this was actually funny. Zombie dancehall with autotune. It's incredibly annoying.
moving this here from /baw/ since the bard asked, which i huess cause hey some boards need more life: Right, so the mothership is pretty divided on Plastic Beach right now, so what do you think guys? As far as Gorillaz albums go, it is their weakest. That being said, i love it. Great Songs:Rhinestone Eyes, Stylo, Empire Ants, On Melancholy Hill, The second half of Sweepstakes, Pirates Progress Some Kind of Nature Good Songs: Superfast Jelleyfish, Broken, To Binge, Cloud of Unknowing, Pirate jet Bad Songs: Glitter Freeze, Welcome to Plastic Beach, White Flag overall it's an A-. The problem is that it dosen't feel as cohesive as Demon Days, what with it being half the remanants of Carousel and half new, and it's not as inventive. however it was most certainly worth the 5 years, and outside of Snoop Dog, the rapping is top notch. Mos Def fucking owns this album.
It's very interesting to see everyone's opinions in a constructive way. The few times I ventured in to /mu/ to discuss the album, there were all sorts of shit storms. I just absolutely love this album. I'm not super into music like some of you appear to be, but I remember listening to it for the first time and practically falling in love with every single song. I feel that all of them could have stood out at the best song on any other album; together it is an album of the best songs. The first 20 or so times I've listened to it (iTunes says I've listened to it at least 200 times now) I remember deciding that a completely different song was my favourite each time. Has anyone ever had that happen to them? I never have. I got into the Gorillaz for the characters. It was such an appealing concept, and the fact that Jamie Hewlett was the artist pretty much sold me (I was obsessed with TankGirl at the time). While I enjoyed the first two albums, I never really understood why the debut was the best or why Demon Days was the best for some people. 'Course it didn't help I was 12 and 16 at the time I first listened to them... I just don't see the big deal about the first two albums. There are some great tracks, but a lot of them are boring and I'll skip those songs if they start to play. I have skipped nothing with this album. Admittedly, I am starting to skip White Flag and Superfast Jellyfish but I mean I've listened to the songs 218 times now, it's starting to get boring. No fault at all of Damon's...
The extra guitar really adds a lot.
>>3089 I agree with you. I wasn't really into S/T or Demon Days, but I like Plastic Beach a lot more. Also, the title track is God Tier for me.
no music can ever compete http://vimeo.com/6790883
How do you guys feel about occult cowboys?
80's Gothic rock/metal thread?
>>3195 Go go go.
Does anyone know where I can get sound effects or ambient music? I mean, things like a crowd in a cafe or a restaurant, rain, a windy day, etc. Sometimes I find it hard to search for such material when doing some personal works, and sometimes I'm just in the mood of creating an ambient while I'm in my room so I can relax.
