Am I imagining things, or did Toshihiro Ono do some porn too?
>>8579 dammit the Todd!
>>8606I am.
>>8620"Thousand dicks" five!
>>8597The point you seem to be missing is that under that kind of logic, no one in videogames is a rival. Everyone gets curb-stomped by the hero because that's how you progress through the game.
>>8611The point YOU are missing is that (some) other rivals have actual character to them (and maybe a bit of style) instead of just being a generic douche that you steamroll over.Gary has no more character than generic mooks in your average beat em up do. The only notable thing is that you face him a lot, each time with him acting like a generic and uniteresting douchebag. Even the anime version is better, if only because it adds a bit of flair to his douchebaggery.THE ANIME ACTUALLY IMPROVED HIM. THAT'S HOW TERRIBLE HE IS.

>>8513Well...
You're all a bunch of A-Noles.
You now see the apple in her hair. You're welcome.
>>8487Green was Blue.
>>8491No, Green is pretty different from Red and Blue. Graphically speaking, at least.
>>8495I think Green's version-specific Pokemon are the same as the English Blue's, and the English versions of Red and Blue use the Japanese Blue's graphics...
>>8460...Hmm, I like the way you think, mister. Instead of stealing the Pokemon because they have the black auras, steal them because the original owner asked you to. You wouldn't get to keep them most of the time, but we could always add wild Pokemon back into the mix.WES' BADASS DETECTIVE AGENCY. I'm not for getting rid of Rui, though. We could always give her an actual purpose. "Arm candy" feels good enough to me, but "marginally psychic" is also good. Though really, her powers are more related to Aura abilities than psychic ones.
>>8462I was thinking more that he'd see how the Teams use and abuse their Pokemon and take them for himself instead, giving them a real trainer. And no, if Rui wanted to be in Colosseum: Good Edition, she shouldn't have ruined the real thing with her "NOOO YOU CAN ONLY STEAL SHADOW POKEMON AND MUST OBEY ME FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON" bullshit. I wonder if the manga actually patches up all the nonsensical But Thou Must moments in the game.
Othar said it best: I essentially want Lupin the 3rd: Pet Detective out of the game.
Is there any reason why Nidoran female can breed, but not Nidorina and Nidoqueen? I've been wondering about it for a while and I can't think of why they'd make that decision. are Nidokings just pedos?
>>8313...You know, you keep doing roman numerals wrong. It should look like IV. But you keep saying "Gen 6."
>>8313Because their stats and which EV they give away are different.Plus they would have to retcon them to have a single Pokedex entry, and have to subsequently renumber 90% of the other Pokemon.
>>8306Nidoqueens are physically incapable of copulating, due to their bony exteriors and large tails.>>8312Baby Nidoqueens can only result from artificial insemination.
I've done this sort of thing a few times in the past, this recent project has been getting a lot more praise than usual (read: any praise) so I figured I'd bring it to plus4chan to see what kind of responses I get since this is the only community I know of that I could care about in the least.Only two in this series have been done so far. This is a Nuzlocke comic, a Pokemon run (this one's Fire Red) where the rules are1. You can only catch the first Pokemon in each route2. If a Pokemon faints, it dies.I'm running by several other rules, but they don't really matter at this point so I wont delve into them. I'm telling this one as if I was the rival and the other guy is the main character.Anyway... Enjoy?
Second, third wont be finished for a day or two.I have another one that's completed and about 35 pages long, but like I said this is the only thing that I've gotten a lot of praise for.
We've definitely had Nuzlocke threads before. Thanks for thinking of us, though. And it's an interesting concept you've got goin'.
>>8347Thanks, I'll keep watching this thread. Goddamn /v/ reminded me that this seems entirely LOL SO RANDUMB because I was originally catering to the nuzlocke forums and posts within the thread this was posted in. Bah.
I saw this image today and realized:Deoxys has no mouth. How does he eat?
>>7997 Deoxys is a cool guy. Fights Rayquaza and doesn't afraid of anything.
>>7996For a minute I thought the second guy from the right was Blaine.
>>8023Kinda fitting, considering his background as a scientist in Pokemon Special.
General battlan/tradan threadPOST YER COMRADE CODESAlso; I need someone not in amurika to trade with for that across the sea pokewalker route. And someone to help me evolve my Kadabra.
>>7449I don't. I'm chillin' in the WiFi room now though, so whenever you're ready.
>>7460I need to refresh this page more often. I'm heading down to the Wifi room.
3266 7960 7723Give a holler if you need any help with trade evolving.
Nostalgia bomb.
Dammit, I had so many misconceptions about the show from watching this. LIke thinking Team Rocket did actually win at some point and that footage of Pikachu at Pewter Gym was a battle against a brainwashed Pikachu on the fucking Moon.
>Ash's science teacher>not Professor Oak
Is "Ash's Aunt Hillary" the same person who did the voice for Ash's mother?
So much merchandise!
Aw man, I used to love the keychains that came with the working pokeballs. Had a whole bunch of them and used to wear them on my belt because I thought it made me look like a trainer.
>>6656Dude, that Pokemon Center is nearly impossible to move around in. There are so many friggin' people. But it is so worth it. I wish I had gone like, 5 more times when I went.
>>8039Remember when we had our own?
Pokemon is popular right now because so many hipsters play it ironically. That has nothing to do with this amazing video that you just have to watch to the end.
I DON'T UNDERSTAND. HOW DO YOU PLAY A GAME IRONICALLY?I always get excited when I see someone play it on the bus or whatever. Sob :c
>>8031The answer is to wear form fitting jeans and only use sunglasses when it's bright outside.
That's not ironic! That's just being a douchebag!
Wow look at the eye the Unown is giving Diamond, speaking of which how did he know that she tripped
Sorry, had to do it.
>>7929Considering Dia's actual feelings for Platina that's even funnier
Diamond isn't slow, he caught on that Platina wasn't a tour guide almost right from the beginning, He consistently goes out of his way to make other people happy, Don't forget that when Pearl was too scared to he stood up to Cyrus
All right, /pkmn/, this has been bugging me for ages but it's only now that I've finally decided to sit down and really think about it: are scythers bugs, or reptiles? That is, do they have endo or exoskeletons? Something that big (roughly the size of a human) can't possibly get around without bones, can it? I know that insects that big have existed before, but nothing with a structure as complex as a scyther's.I'm asking because I've been wanting to draw out the skeletal structure of some of my favorite pokemon so I can portray them as accurately as possible, and when I got to scyther that giant mindfuck occurred and now here I am. :|
>The good news is that it takes, on average, a fairly large amount of theobromine 100-150 mg/kg to cause a toxic reaction. Although there are variables to consider like the individual sensitivity, animal size and chocolate concentration.>On average,>Milk chocolate contains 44 mg of theobromine per oz.>Semisweet chocolate contains 150mg/oz.>Baker's chocolate 390mg/oz.>Using a dose of 100 mg/kg as the toxic dose it comes out roughly as:>1 ounce per 1 pound of body weight for Milk chocolate>1 ounce per 3 pounds of body weight for Semisweet chocolate>1 ounce per 9 pounds of body weight for Baker's chocolate.I'm just gonna assume white chocolate doesn't contain any, since it isn't true chocolate; just cocoa butter.
Maybe it has a combination. And internal skeleton with external plating.
>>7903Like a turtle?
Favorite character time. Game, anime, manga, anything goes. I know we've got that favorite villainous team thing, but it's not exactly what one would call inclusive for all characters.Pic related, he is the best Lupin III expy.
>>7864I like Pokemon Special Red. All the absolute monster battling skills, but wrapped up in a childlike near-Superman optimism and happy go lucky attitude.
>>7864Well, he is the ultimate final boss of the series in a lot of people's eyes. Also:>Lambda>Lupin III expy
>>7864The way I interpret it is he's a PC without someone using him on top of being the secret final boss.
