I like drawing Pokemon. A stupid amount. And I like to draw them extremely off model and silly looking. And this is where I will put those drawings. And other people can put drawings here too so I'm not an attention whore.
Ditto Yaranaika.

Can you draw Swana flaunting her big squishy feathery torso fritters in front of an annoyed Lopunny?
The gameplay is stale. The plot has gone from a vapid albeit interesting means to an end to a copypaste of Ruby/Sapphire. Most fans cannot go two sentences into the defense of Pokemon without mentioning grinding for stats as a good reason to play. And to be honest, I'm not really having fun unless I'm exploring or mining underground.Pokemon has gotten stale. How do we fix Pokemon?
- Take the emphasis off of the Pokemon league and Gym battles. Keep them in, but make that whole thing into a side quest. - I've seen this one a few times already, but I like it enough to steal it: Take most of the HMs and put items in their place. Best example would be replacing flash with a flashlight.- Put some stats on the trainer himself? Like maybe give a throwing stat, and turn the whole pokeball thing into a bit of a minigame. Early on catching Rattata and Pidgey is easy since neither will be too fast, but as you progress birds can fly higher, run faster, and even burrow themselves into the ground before you can catch them. Then you can add stats to pokeballs: maybe some will be heavier which will give you a stronger throw or a higher catch percentage require higher accuracy.- and finally, I like the idea of adding in weather conditions. Hell, maybe even add in different seasons and those season will change which pokemon you can catch.
>>12629>- and finally, I like the idea of adding in weather conditions. Hell, maybe even add in different seasons and those season will change which pokemon you can catch. They're actually already doing this for Black and White. With each season change different pokemon and areas can be accessed.

It's been a while since the last Fakemon thread, and I have a whole batch of them collected from the depths of Deviantart and /vp/, ready for your unyielding judgement.

Name a Pokemon and I'll dump what I got of them
What kind of setting would you like to see in pokemon? I personally would adore a game set in the far past, maybe a medieval era setting. It would give an excuse for new pokemon, say that they were pokemon that existed before they either died out or were killed by humans. Maybe call the games Pokemon Bronze and Pokemon Steel?
>>12271Going further with artist themes:Michelangelo: Machoke/MachampMagritte: Ditto. It comes out as a Pikachu. "C'est ne pas une pikachu." Alternatively a Snorlax with a bowler hat and a berry for a face.Munch: Haunter doing the Scream face.Van Gogh: bunch of Sunflora and an Aipom with an ear cut off.Dali: Muk being supported by some sticks.Andy Warhol: a Potion.Jackson Pollock: Missingno.
>>12375the real question is would there be humans?
>>12082Love this idea. The game focuses on the future pokemon professor as a young ward whose final task before he can graduate to a pokeologist is to go out and catalogue as many known pokemon as possible. Instead of a Pokedex you start off with a jorunal (maybe a few places are filled up with some common pokemon like Rattata and Pidgey?) and a map that's only half charted. You're given a newly discovered type as well, charged with watching it's growth and reporting it's progress. Battling a single type multiple times is also ideal as you'll pick up more information as you go. Same goes for catching.Pokeballs are a lot more simple, with the "master ball" type item being a prototype regular pokeball. You only carry six on you because it becomes inconvenient to do so with more. This can even justify why you keep one out of the ball: having one walking around means you have one less pokeball to carry. And since the technology isn't sophisticated yet, they are heavy. Legendaries are almost impossible to catch because of how weak pokeballs are.The Pokemon league either doesn't exist or is just starting. Gym battles are more of a pass time activity. Instead of badges you're looking to gain letters of recommendation from famed pokeologists, so that you can face off against the board of admissions and ultimately you have to face off against your own master with the pokemon you've raised using the knowledge you've gained.Afterwards you get to travel to other regions, like Johto, as a form of studying abroad.
Because why not.
Which one of you guys was hard-translating Soara's Lyra comics? There are a ton more out that I'd like to see 'completed.'Otherwise, general comics/humor thread.

So is this the Digiman forum?
http://whattheegad.blip.tv/This gut did a 02 Retrospective, he'll be starting tamers soon!
It's been 10 years. Experiment with a "return to the roots" style series already: a Narnia-esque Adventure of a bunch of kids in a strange world while slowly learning about the mythology of the wider universe without distracting gimmicks like "becoming the Digimon" or "combining Digimon like mecha"

A friend of mine did a Nuzlocke run and wrote a story about it. I liked it so I thought I'd share.Going to break it into separate posts because it's a bit long so bear with me here."With the new rules regarding chatroom on the weekdays set in place, I decided that now would be the time to go ahead and start a Nuzlocke run. I had previously wondered about trying to pull one off, as it seemed like an interesting concept - and it would successfully get around the normal pitfalls that keep me from finishing a normal game of Pokemon. So, with that in mind, I went ahead and downloaded VirtualBoyAdvance for what was probably the fiftieth time, and went out to find a rom of Pokemon Yellow. Both of the roms I found had the problem of immediately crashing when I tried to open them, which didn't bother me too much - emulators do this kind of thing sometimes. I chose to play Pokemon: Fire Red instead, which fired up without any problems. I was treated to a nice and short opening scene, and a flaming Press Start screen. Without wondering if I should get the fire extinguisher or not, I went ahead and started up a new file.Pallet TownI began my run with the intent of making an LP out of it, taking screenshots along the way and trying to come up with some clever writing to go along with them, involving the dangers of rapidly pressing A, possessed mothers, and the wonders of technology. Given the version I was playing and the fact that I seem to pick the Fire types anyway, I chose Charmander as my starter, under the not-so-carefully-picked-out nickname of Rex. The brief rival battle ended in my favor, needless to say - and with that I went off to start capturing pokemon.Route 1Route 1 was not a very eventful part of my playthrough, though it was responsible for was the scrapping of the LP that was originally intended to go along with my run. I decided this on the basis that I didn't want to have to update a log of my adventures when the primary purpose of it was to see what would happen; that, and I honestly began to believe that I was not coming up with very entertaining material. I wanted to avoid making "just another Let's Play Message too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>12260It wouldn't work. You need to Surf.
>>12262I've never done Nuzlocke before, but what happens if you get stuck with no pokemon who can use the required HMs? Just... lose?

>>11899What's unnecessary about it? The original games are nigh on a decade old. A redesign was in high order. And her new clothes are no harder to look at than her lion-tamer getup from way back when.
>>11900 She looks like a completely different character. And was one of the few to get a redesign at all. It's not as stupid as getting rid of Kris for no fucking reason, but it's still stupid.
>>11908Exercise time: Without referencing any other medium besides the video games, no anime, no manga, no anything that isn't the first two generations of Pokemon games, describe Sabrina as a character without mentioning any physical traits. The wardrobe change is entirely meaningless, because almost anything anyone had to say about her back then is 'she sure is psychic, yup yup.'.
So...I heard there was ROMANCE in the Pokemon Black and White games. Y'know, where you could have romantic interactions with gym leaders and certain characters. This would be pretty damn cool to have, especially since the trainers are now older than ten.Any confirmation on this?P.S.: Who would you ROMANCE? Me, I'd go for Marley or Jasmine.
