Forget Magic, D&D, and Yu-Gi-Oh.Let's talk about a real game, motherfuckers.

Goddamn those small boats.
Me and my bro once played Battleships while waiting for the ferry to leave...Becomes even more wrong when you add that Battleships is "Sänka Skepp" (Sink Ships) in Swedish...
ITT: how many times you came when I told you the former Ensemble Studios founders are making a free TF2/Battlefield Heroes-esque Age of Empires.http://www.ageofempiresonline.com/
>>90470Can you structure that argument or are you just going to make an empty claim?
>>90482Different anon here:I'm with him on Fallout 3's writing if that's what you're talking about. Can't say on Age of Empires 3 since I haven't played it. Which were you asking about?
>>90486The on-topic one.
Hyuk, told you it wasn't System Shock 3.
>>90280HOLY SHITShould I play SS1 before this?
>>90423It's not... REALLY required. SS1 doesn't have nearly as much of a story as SS2 does, and it's much more rough all around. It wouldn't hurt to play it, but you wouldn't be missing anything if you skipped over it.
>>89898Let me second you! This looks gorgeous.>>90280Thanks for this anon. :3
http://etf2l.org/highlander/SO I'M HERE TO BUILD A TEAM.Which of you dastardly homosexuals want in?
so anyone want to have a few practice matches soon?I'm up for anything.
>>90385I can practice some tonight. Tomorrow is a maybe, I have jury duty so we'll see what happens. Friday I have work so it's unlikely.
>>90385I'd like to play, just cause I'm bored.
I cannot figure out this puzzle for the life of me. Goal is: spin the three circles so that all the green lights are in the triangle at the middle.
>>90310Oh man. This means I sat down and solved this for no reason. I think I will post the solution anyway. As an aside, what game is this?
>>90311
>>90311Machinarium.
I told myself i'd never get excited for an MMO, but god damnit.this looks fun.
Ask Ludelia about it, she's in the closed beta.
Oh, it's on the source engine? I didn't know that.
http://kotaku.com/5614470/microsoft-releasing-age-of-empires-online?skyline=true&s=iWait... WHAT? OH GOD PLEASE DON'T BE SHIT.
>Farmville elements>Not made by EnsembleNope, shit.
>>90228I am VERY apprehensive about this, yeah. But the article mentions involvement by former AoE developers, which is probably as good as we're gonna get since Microsoft disbanded Ensemble. So I'm not expecting much... but that means I have more chances to be pleasantly surprised!
Been playing some Space Station 13 lately. And people say Minecraft and DF need autism. Jesus.
Only /v/ kiddies say that autism crap, please don't drag it out anywhere else. It's pathetic.
>>89781A bloo bloo bloo. What do you guys think of the game? If the controls were less clumsy and how everything works were less mysterious it would be pretty great. Maybe if I tried being something besides an Assistant I'd get into more interesting situations. I've been an attacking Syndicate a couple of times but I've had pretty bad luck with it. Breaking into the station and being immediately tasered and shoved into a crematorium bad luck. Cutting the cables to the solar panels only to find the singularity coming at me bad luck.I'll try some of the different jobs now that I've got the basics down, I guess.
I kind of wish going near anything electrical didn't automatically result in getting shocked and stunned for a few solid minutes. Given the rarity of insulated gloves it might be safer and faster to simply weld through even reinforced walls rather than trying to cut and pulse the wiring of a door.
This is your dad, IRL, /cog/.
>>87347Get out.
>>87324Something tells me this isn't going to be the last fanfiction of his we see.
Now I want to go to Fuddruckers just to pump my fist in the air.HD link: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/mass-effect-hawp/702809

...I'll be in my cave.

>>90022Well shit, they posted it on Sega's website. I really thought it was real. :(
>>90024It probably is. Just like Skies of Arcadia 2.
JSR was better, but JSRF is still one of the greatest games ever made.Boners forever.

>>89680Yeah, because Sonic has depth, yo.
My advice to you is to play this particular battle defensively.

It's that time of year again where I feel a serious need to play some Harvest Moon. Unfortunately the only game I have is Rune Factory, which didn't really live up to my expectations, so it's relieving my craving the way licking the inside of an ash tray would sate a nicotine addiction.Does anyone know if any of the Harvest Moon games for the DS are worth playing? Also let's have a general Harvest Moon thread.
>>89673My favorite to date was Friends of Mineral Town because there was so much to do, but I understand a lot of people consider that a strike against it. But I think general consensus is that the three best games in the series are Harvest Moon 64, Back to Nature (PSX) and Friends of Mineral Town (GBA), with which one of the three is best varying from player to player. FoMT was a remake of BtN to a certain extent, for what it's worth.
>>89673 Depends on what you like and how traditional you want the game. It'd be best to try one of the older games on an emulator just to get the basics down so you don’t overwhelm yourself but then again it might be too simplistic to jump into any of the newer iterations after it.
I just preordered Grand Bazaar today. I'll make sure to be extra critical of it.
>Activision doesn't believe female leads can sell games, and has even gone so far as to change characters to avoid a lady protagonist, according to former employees. http://www.1up.com/news/activision-games-female-leadsThoughts on this? Any kernels of truth in what Kotick is saying? You're the only chan mature enough to have an actual discussion about this.
>>89525She was also once a good character, before she was hit with the Unstoppable Slut Engine Device (USED).
>>89203I'd jack it to that.
>>89525until Core started just phoning it in and started crying about not having enough time to finish Angel of Darkness (how long was the development time on that one?)
