Mystery Inc is a genuinely good Scooby show though.

No.69705

Fred being utterly trap obsessed sells it for me.

Also Matthew Lillard continually voicing Shaggy is interesting and with Frank Welker keeping up doing Fred and Scooby its always awesome.

And also it helps that Velma is with Shaggy and is actually aggressive in the relationship

No.69733
I've only seen the first third of the first episode, and while the characterization is great my favorite part is the simple fact that the gang's activities are viewed so negatively by the community. I really like the idea of a bunch of quirky teenagers driving around and solving mysteries while everyone else rolls their eyes.

No.69753
>>69727
But it doesn't help that Velma's not a brickhouse. :(

No.69878
Seeing Velma as an extrovert is gonna take some getting used to. Anyone else notice how she progressively got much hotter than Daphne over the years? She used to be the fat chick, now she's the hot one and Daphne's the timid one, wierd.

Matt Lillard's Shaggy is great, and having Kasem voice his father was a sweet little tribute to the original. Welker's Scooby-Doo has greatly improved since he first started doing the voice. I guess you can say Welker's career has gone full circle.

Show is gonna rock because it seems like it was made for both seasoned Scooby-fans and today's kids at the same time.

No.69881
>>69878

Happy that Lillard found part of himself with being Shaggy, maybe Welker can bring him into the VA circles. Loving the combination of serious and bordering on almost Venture Brothers level self parody.

No.69941
>>69878
Not really the fat chick just everything Daphne wasn't. Velma while important isn't as shocking as the reveal that HOLY FUCK THIS ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE IT WILL HAVE A PLOT OUTSIDE OF SOLVE THE CASE and I fear that this will fail exactly because of this.

No.69949
It's always awesome when long running series have a entry devoted to taking the piss out of themselves

That's what makes Zelda: Spirit Tracks interesting for me, and why this will be the best Scooby series ever, thought hat's not very hard.

Also after finally seeing the episode I will have Shaggy's head on a pike.

JMS in trying to make Superman someone who walks among us to better understand us, Has made Superman seem like Demi God who walks among lowly idiots not even understood by the one he loves, he confidently holds his nose over us instead of flying silent over top of us looking on at our greatest achievements and inspiring us to be the best we can be.
