Old one hit the auto-sage limit.>Wonder when Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc. is starting regular seasons>check schedule>first episode is in one week
>>69637Mystery Inc is a genuinely good Scooby show though.
>>69683Fred being utterly trap obsessed sells it for me.Also Matthew Lillard continually voicing Shaggy is interesting and with Frank Welker keeping up doing Fred and Scooby its always awesome.
>>69637Do yourself a favor and watch the sneak peek. Shit's gonna be awesome.http://www.mediafire.com/?nj5kayghdmy
>>69705And also it helps that Velma is with Shaggy and is actually aggressive in the relationship
I've only seen the first third of the first episode, and while the characterization is great my favorite part is the simple fact that the gang's activities are viewed so negatively by the community. I really like the idea of a bunch of quirky teenagers driving around and solving mysteries while everyone else rolls their eyes.
>>69727But it doesn't help that Velma's not a brickhouse. :(
Seeing Velma as an extrovert is gonna take some getting used to. Anyone else notice how she progressively got much hotter than Daphne over the years? She used to be the fat chick, now she's the hot one and Daphne's the timid one, wierd.Matt Lillard's Shaggy is great, and having Kasem voice his father was a sweet little tribute to the original. Welker's Scooby-Doo has greatly improved since he first started doing the voice. I guess you can say Welker's career has gone full circle.Show is gonna rock because it seems like it was made for both seasoned Scooby-fans and today's kids at the same time.
>>69878Happy that Lillard found part of himself with being Shaggy, maybe Welker can bring him into the VA circles. Loving the combination of serious and bordering on almost Venture Brothers level self parody.
>>69878 Not really the fat chick just everything Daphne wasn't. Velma while important isn't as shocking as the reveal that HOLY FUCK THIS ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE IT WILL HAVE A PLOT OUTSIDE OF SOLVE THE CASE and I fear that this will fail exactly because of this.
It's always awesome when long running series have a entry devoted to taking the piss out of themselvesThat's what makes Zelda: Spirit Tracks interesting for me, and why this will be the best Scooby series ever, thought hat's not very hard.
Also after finally seeing the episode I will have Shaggy's head on a pike.
>>69952What, because he's not comfortable getting physical in public?
>Fox claims rights on Kirby Krackle's On and On video clip
>Brightest day #4It's....It's amazing, Johns just gets pumping up the uselessness and annoyance of the shit bog that is Ronnie.I think he may SERIOUSLY be making him a more annoying character than even Magenta Magenta if that's even possible.
>>70282I like the dynamic, he's afraid Scooby might get jealous(even though Scooby is more dog like than he's ever been in this show)
>>71299Also I'm sure Scooby'd be a total bro about it.
>>71299But yeah. It seems pretty cool....So, when's it out? I'm kinda out of the loop.
>>71317Reesome?
>>71319Like I said in the OP, it starts regular airing Monday, though the first episode might just be a re-airing of the pilot.
>Latest Girl Genius comic
>Adventure Time, Chowder, Flapjack, Kick Buttowski nominated for Emmy Awards
>Thor: The Mighty Avenger
>>71653So dang charming! Thor and the story both. I can't wait for the next issue.
>>71807You're in luck, they decided to do a two in one month deal so the next one is coming out on the 21st I believe.
>>71653Goddamn I need to make a trip to the comic shop
>>71807Buh? She's not screaming in terror? That lady must be an immigrant from the DC universe.
>finally got to watch Toy Story 3>my face at the end
>See list on comicvine>"Oh, this is pretty interesting, all these characters appeared on money, that's a good -">One guy votes against it because it included Mao Zedong because he's a "chinnese leader" and Charles Darwin, asking what he did that was so great>And he thought Samuel Adams was just "a character that was made to sell beer"
>"Armchair Imagineering" competition at WDWMagic's forums>Someone on our team has the idea for a "Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck" dark ride for a klondike variation of Frontierland>"Aw yeah, Steamboat smashan and town rampagan">"Sorry, not in my plan. >Toy Story 3 making nearly $600 million worldwide

>>73599Yeah that was pretty sad, but I love that they're building up Booster as the leader of the team. Hell the book in general is fucking awesome so far.>Booster Gold #34
SUPERMAN #701 IS GREA->SUPERMAN LEAVES A SMALL CHILD TO DEAL WITH ANGRY DRUG DEALERS WHOSE STACHES HE'S JUST BURNEDJesus Christ.
>>73659wa-HATDoes... Does context make it better or worse?
>>73663Makes it exactly as I said.
And just to prove I'm not kidding.
>>73670
>>73670>>73672I... I can see how the writer would think that was a good idea or something, but... Wow.And I'm disappointed that you weren't talking about their mustaches.
>>73672 So Supes not only left a child to be the messenger to a bunch of pissed off gang bangers that this is now his turf, but he's doing this specifically to chase away all the bad black gangsters out of the Cul-de-sac/ghetto. Classy.
>>73672Wait, so he just left? What if the fire got out of control?
>>73682 MESSAGE SENT, NOT MY PROBLEM ANYMORE. SEE YOU GUYS NEXT WEEK.
>>73659I hated the whole thing; first they geography fail hard on Philly, then the rest of the issue was just boring. Oh and let's not forget the suicide jumper. Never done that one before!
Yeah, it's incredibly unsuperman. It's really flawed at the core, everything JMS is going for falls flat on it's face, LOOK AT THIS SHIT.
>>73687Think of it as if Superman had to interact with Marvel's human population.
OOOOOOH OH OH, THE ENDING WAS THE BEST OVERLY PREACHY ARROGANT SHIT OF ALL!JMS in trying to make Superman someone who walks among us to better understand us, Has made Superman seem like Demi God who walks among lowly idiots not even understood by the one he loves, he confidently holds his nose over us instead of flying silent over top of us looking on at our greatest achievements and inspiring us to be the best we can be.This is just awful beyond measure.
>>73690No, This was just flat out bad writing.
>>73692...Why is he so unlikable ;______________;This isn't Supes! This isn't Supes at all!
>>73694Agreed Tim, this is a fucking horrid mess, may it be dumped in the trash quickly with few sales.Fuck, this worries me immensely about how he's gonna treat WW, a character he clearly understands even LESS than Superman. Especially after #600 got her off to a nice popularity boost.
>>73692>Guy walkin' dog: He Supes, why ain't you fighting giant monsters and saving the world and stuff?>Superman: Why aren't you, BITCH?I think JMS can't separate Superman's actual characterization from the stuff he projects on him.
>>73670Aw, cripes. That would be acceptable behavior for a lot of characters, but not Superman. He can be clever, sure, but he doesn't engage in wiseassery.
>>73692WTF!!!!??? GRRRRR that is not Clark
I have to say I kind of like the idea of Superman just acting like a dick. S'like the good old days, like if they went back to campy Adam West-esque Batman. Douchebag Supes/Wacky Batman teamup would be the best.
>>73750It would make for an awesome Elseworlds story: the Trinity stumbles across a parallel dimension in which their counterparts just dick around all the time like idiots.
>>73750See, I know it seems fun, but in canon it's just AWFUL.
>Stepdad seeing the Watchmen movie>"So how far into the future is this?"

>Suicide Squad game announced
>Wally and Bart showing up this year in a new ongoing. It's probably going to be like GLC in its approach.
>>76730Are they finally getting around to that? Thank goodness. I hope Flash stays strong, I honestly like the setup.
>>76734So do I. I'm just glad Wally is getting focus. He may not be the main Flash anymore and people will complain that he's getting sidelined, just like they did with Kyle Rayner, but while they aren't in the main books they're still the main characters in ongoings of their own rather than being in limbo (or somewhere in Hong Kong after being written by Adam Beechen)
