I don't think the bad driving part counts since the army guys said it took years to learn how to operate it.

In general, I hate the "cute little precocious kid" trope unless it is applied properly. It's almost always annoying and ginger kid was no exception. Lily was pretty great. Whole thing was just OK, but the ending gave me all kinds of tears so there's that. Happy tears. ;u;

I'm starting to feel there are several elements of Doctor Who right now that either need to leave, be more brought up, or toned down.

The biggest one I feel is that the Doctor has never had a swordfight in the TARDIS. And I feel that the world is greatly hurt by this absence.

And I don't want to hear about the Doctor being a pacifist, because I just watched Tom Baker break some dude's neck.

RDJ's/Moffat's Doctor should have taken advice from a different Doctor...

I can't help but imagine Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as the Doctor and his companion now.

Other acceptable pairs include Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. Any Holmes and Watson really.

Desperately wanting Ginger!Cumberbatch to play the Master. It would be magnificent.

Watched Fright Night during my Christmas break and there's the most wonderful, blatant 10th Doctor ref when Tennant's character does the "WELL..." while discussing how to kill vampires. Also his girlfriendish's name is "Ginger" and that got a retard grin out of me and Doc Professor as well. (Also Fright Night is really fucking good and not just for Tennant but ok a little bit for Tennant. But it also has new!Chekov!)

>in May, IDW are to publish a Doctor Who/Star Trek: The Next Generation crossover series. Featuring The Doctor, Rory, Amy, Captain Picard, Worf, Data, Geordie LaForge, Deanna Troy, Will Riker and the rest. And that this art, featuring the Doctor, Rory and Amy on the bridge of the Enterprise is a cover that will be used in the series.
WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW FREAKING GIDDY I AM RIGHT NOW.

The Cybermen and the Borg could potentially align themselves with each other, as they have similar goals and practices to an extent, with the Cybermen possibly being what the Borg wish they were, or something.

The Daleks going like a lawnmower through the Borg, the Dominion etc. would be something I'd find particularly entertaining, as pretty much only the Doctor appears to be able to stop them when they're at full power.

The Klingons suddenly realising that the Daleks aren't going to be honourable opponents they were after would also be hilarious.

That sounds fucking boss, I just hope the interiors aren't nearly as stiff as that. That's Salvador Larocca levels of stiff and boring artwork.

*Rory and The Doctor come in wearing a blue medical service uniforms*

*Rory pulling at the collar*

R:"Do I have to wear this?"

*Picard turns around adjusting his dress uniform*

P:"If you are going to stand in as a starfleet officer during the conference you have to dress the part."

R:"Alight, but do you have anything in red."

You know how there was mondasian and cybus cybermen?

Well, the Borg are the ST 'verses version of them, much as the necrons are the 40k verse's version.

That's the way IDW's Who covers always tend to look.

The interiors will likely be far less photoreal.

Yeah, I know. Kind of annoying that people complained that the Cybus ones were rip-offs of the Borg when the new series of Who airred.
>> No. 31802

I meant that literally. Much as the Mondasian Strain had its analog in the zepplin-universe, they both had their reflection in the ST 'verse. Savvy?

Q backs down. Not even the Q continuum is arrogant enough to get in a pissing match with the Lords of Time, let alone the Oncoming Storm. That's just asking for your shit to be wrecked well beyond anyone's ability to contain.
>> No. 31814
>>31803
Yeah, I disagree. Cause Doctor Who HAD a Q Continuum counterpart: The Guardians. And the only ways the Doctor has ever beaten THOSE guys is with the help OF other Guardians, and even then those victories have just been based on stopping their plans and getting the fuck out of there. He had to spend a whole season running on random just to get away from one, and all he did was scatter a few pieces of a Key. The Guardians don't die or fail, they get slowed down.

And what would Q's brethren have to look at with the Doctor? He did beat his race and the Daleks, so he might be a capable opponent, but a quick look at his interactions with something similar the Q Continuum means they know the Doctor knows full well that taking on the Q is a bad move. They won't be cocky, but the Doctor is not a totally unbeatable force on their scale. Q won't back down.

But I do want to see them up against one another.

This I am psyched for!...but didn't the Master finally legitimately die/fall into the time lock with the rest of the time lords? I thought that The End of Time was a fantastic send off for him, as well as a movie (calling it that because it totally is) on its own right.

How would they bring him back? Would other time lords also comeback? I don't see that as too bad of a thing actually maybe.
