It really does make for its own little good, self-contained story. I have no idea where it could go next, though.

I really hope Chiho gets her own development and isn't just going to be set up as the one losing out in the possible romantic love triangle.

...Come of think of it, I actually kind of hope there isn't going to be any future romantic tension between Maou and Emilia in the first place. It'd be pretty refreshing.
