As far as I have noticed alot of artists have started producing less and less art, and just Art packing everything they make onwards with a price tag. Yes I understand they have a right to make money just like everyone else but seriously EVERYONE is doing that now. I noticed this trend mid 2013 and it is in full force at this moment, its sort of like a Certian Banna-Jainc individual started one hell of a trend and everyone (being artists) just loved it and went with it now pay-walling all their work and just using their DA,FA, or what have you as a advert for what they are selling.

image packs haven't killed free art, we're not getting less fatty art from the artists that make it. most of the time spent making image packs is the same time they'd spend making commission art anyway. Image packs haven't killed free fap material as some might like to believe. Or maybe that assumption just makes them feel better about begging for the packs to be posted for free, who knows.

If you want to really help out, and encourage more artists to continue to share their work publicly, support the artists who don't sell packs by buying commissions from them and maybe tipping them above and beyond what they ask for, noting that the additional is thanks for not going the pay-to-see route. This'd work better than bitching on an anonymous image board or doing absolutely nothing constructive to encourage artists not to just charge everyone for everything.
